SAFETY CITIZEN’S ASSISTED PATROL (CAP) By Mike Weissberg CAP is always looking for more volunteers to patrol the streets. Come help be the eyes, ears, and presence for the Sheriff’s department. NEIGHBORHOOD WATCH FORUM AT MONDAY COFFEE By Fay Wood, NW Chief March will boast not just one, but two, very special safety presentations at Monday Coffee! The Neighborhood Watch Leadership Team will present what is happening in and out of Lake Ashton and throughout Lake Wales and Winter Haven on March 7 at 9 am in the Clubhouse Ballroom. Special guests include the Lake Wales and Winter Haven Police Chiefs, CAP (Citizens Assisted Patrol) Team members, and other NW Partners. If you have specific questions to be answered, email them to fswperson@aol.com and these will become the questions of priority during the meeting. If time permits the Q&A will be opened to the audience.                                               Then, Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd will be the featured speaker at Monday Coffee on March 14! You won't want to miss these two special presentations — everyone is invited to attend and learn more about how to wor k together to keep this beautiful community safe and crime free all year long! All vehicles, including golf carts, must obey all stop signs and the 20 mph speed limit throughout Lake Ashton. Drivers, watch for pedestrians at all times. Obeying posted speed limit and traffic signs can help avert a potential tragedy. 20
