LAIICDD NEWS By Mary Bosman, LAIICDD Community Director March ushers in spring for all of us Floridians and after the relatively cool temperatures we had in February most of us will welcome the consistently warmer weather. We’re excited to announce new programming to Lake Ashton residents at the HFC. The Cardio Kickboxing classes, the new Bible Study classes, and the expanded beginner watercolor classes are in full swing. The themed parties and Karaoke parties will continue as well. Our exercise classes, water sports, crafting groups, gamers and dance classes are going strong also. February saw new flooring being installed in the Sports Court, Racquetball Court and Fitness Center. The inconvenience was minimal, and residents are certainly enjoying the new floors! With the new basketballs purchased, Monday night basketball could take on new expectations! The dart boards are sporting new darts and the billiard cues have new rack holders as well. The Ping Pong players are enjoying their new table weekly also. The pool area will be taking on a more tropical look soon, as the Lake Ashton Garden Club is providing the knowledge, plants and TLC to care for and maintain plants in that area. The staff is excited to be working with these fine ladies and we can all appreciate their expertise and time donated. If you see them in the HFC, please don’t forget to thank them for their efforts. There will be a newsletter article highlighting them coming up very soon in the LA Connection. The Sawgrass Cart path is completed as is all the irrigation repairs in the common areas. The bathroom on hole # 6 west, should be totally completed by the time this newsletter goes to print.
