SINGLES GROUP By Maureen Ziegler The LA Singles gr oup plans activities for Lake Ashton residents who are single. The group meets monthly on the first Sunday of the month at 2 32 pm in the Clubhouse Ballroom. In July, the singles went on a cruise on the Chain Of Lakes and sent gifts to homeless seniors in Lakeland for ‘Christmas in July’. The group is planning a trip to the Aquarium in Tampa in addition to dinner at Harry’s Seafood in Lakeland. If you would like to take part in activities with other singles, attend the meeting on August 1. BOCC E BAL L A SSOC I AT I ON By Vicki Creek Thirty-two bocce ball players attended the first Potluck Dinner Meeting on July 7 and formed the all new Lake Ashton Bocce B a l l A s s o c i a t i o n (LABBA). Officers elected were: President: Vicki Creek Vice President: Wayne Creek Secretary: Stephanie Iszak Treasures: Chris and Bill Reibl Several committees were formed and dues were set at $10 per person per year.
