ALOHA PARADISE The HFC staff invites you to the upcoming Aloha Paradise Party on August 27! Embrace your inner Hawaiian as you enjoy a traditional meal native to the island. A cash bar with t r o p i c a l cocktails will be offered in lieu of the traditional BYOB. Happy hour begins at 5 pm, and dinner runs from 6 to 7 pm. After dinner, Wayne, the Eagle’s Nest’s favorite DJ, will be playing tropical themed music as well as other regular favorites from 7 to 10 pm to help you dance the night away! This event is limited to 144 residents, so make sure to purchase your ticket(s) early! Your $32 ticket includes a 3-course meal and dance music from our local DJ, Wayne. The menu for this extravaganza is as follows: Appetizer: Feta cheese spread with summer berry relish & crackers Entrée choices (choose one): Herb-encrusted raspberry glaze pork loin or Pecan-encrusted mahi mahi Side dishes: Wild rice pilaf, Stir-fried vegetables, Island tossed salad with Caribbean citrus vinaigrette, Dinner rolls with butter Dessert: Vanilla cake Purchase your ticket and make your entree choice by August 10 at the HFC Activities Desk. Due to the “luau” style of the event, there will be no reserved seating in order to enhance the communal aspect of the celebration. Dressing in tropical clothing is highly encouraged, but not required. ROCK THE BLOCK PAR T Y Come rep your block at the FREE Rock the Block party September 10 at 5 pm in the Clubhouse Ballroom! We’re bringing the outdoors inside for this party, so bring your lawn chairs and celebrate living in the best neighborhood in Central Florida! Dance the night away with neighbors and friends to your favorite tunes played by a live DJ in true block party fashion! This event is free thanks to sponsor United Refrigeration, but enjoy a cash bar and concession stand from Ashton Tap & Grill featuring strawberry shortcake, sausage and peppers, meatball subs, grilled veggie kebabs, street corn, and fruit cups. Get your tickets from the Clubhouse Activities Desk starting August 2. This is going to be the neighborhood party of the year that you won’t want to miss! Put on your lederhosen, grab a bier, and yodel your way to the Clubhouse, because Oktoberfest will be here September 29! Indulge in a wunderbar menu prepared by Ashton Tap & Grill consisting of wiener schnitzel with spaetzle, bratwursts with sauerkraut, German potato salad, pickled red cabbage, apple strudel, and a bier, house wine, or non-alcoholic beverage. Jimmy & Eckhard (all the way from Hollerbach’s Willow Tree Cafe in Sanford) will put on an authentic German musical performance! Seating will be set up in true Oktoberfest style.
