There are many ways to enjoy this beautiful season as noted throughout this edition of the newsletter. Spring ushers in warm days, cooler nights, and many visiting guests. Guests are often amazed at the number of activities and amenities available and Clubhouse staff wants to continue this tradition of community pride. Feedback from residents regarding facility maintenance or activities is always encouraged and welcomed. Soon Charm City at Lake Ashton will be open in the Clubhouse — stay tuned to media for more information regarding opening dates. In the meantime residents can enjoy a limited menu from their food truck that will be at Lake Ashton weekly! All residents are encouraged to attend monthly CDD meetings to obtain firsthand information concerning community affairs. At the March meeting Supervisors discussed strategic planning and the upcoming budget process. The budget workshop will be held on April 17 at 9:30 am in the Clubhouse Ballroom. A wrap up of additional actions taken was sent out on March 22. April is National Volunteer Appreciation Month, a time to celebrate those who dedicate their time to be stewards of this community. This is a perfect time to recognize and say thank you to the volunteers who work hard to ensure Lake Ashton maintains its reputation of being “Simply the Best.” When you are bowling in a league be sure to thank the volunteer pinsetter that is there to ensure a great experience is had by all. Next time you grab a book from the Media Center, thank a member of the Library Committee for ensuring this amenity is well-organized and ready for use. When purchasing a ticket at the Activities Desk, thank the volunteer that helps you find a perfect seat. These volunteers, among hundreds of others, work hard to ensure residents, like themselves, enjoy the amenities and have an enjoyable experience at Lake Ashton. Join staff in celebrating all of the volunteers at Lake Ashton for bringing the community closer together and for their service and commitment to residents. See page 22 for information on a special event for volunteers. Safe travels to those leaving for the summer. Please continue to check email for an electronic version of the LA Times to stay up-to-date while away. There is a Summer Checklist available at the Clubhouse Information Wall and posted on lakeashtoncdd.com for those traveling away from Lake Ashton over the summer. Residents can also view updates regarding CDD business on the website, and can attend meetings virtually using the Zoom link that is emailed each month. For those staying to enjoy the summer at Lake Ashton, sit back and enjoy all that staff has planned. Its going to be a great year! 8
