MIND&BODY AMATEUR RADIO TECHNICIAN CLASS The Lake Ashton Amateur Radio Club will be giving an amateur radio Technician Class for anyone in Lake Ashton who wishes to prepare for an exam session on September 5, 12, and 19 from 9:30 am until 12 pm in the HFC Poker Room. There are still a few spaces left in this class but the limit is 10 so they are first come, first served. Anyone wishing to take the class should contact Dave Bishop at DBishop1867@gmail.com The Lake Wales Repeater Association holds test sessions on the first Saturday of each month at the American Red Cross in Winter Haven. They do not take walk-ins so you must pre register for the exam. (email VElwra.us) Before registering for the exam you will need to get a FCC FRN number (visit fcc.gov/ wireless/support/knowledge-base/universal-licensingsystem-uls-resources/getting-fcc-registration.) LA SOCIAL TENNIS 8 to 10:30 am on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays at the HFC or Clubhouse courts. No need to sign up, just bring your tennis racquet, tennis balls provided. GENTLE YOGA WITH GINA Instructor: Gina Krall Thursdays at 11 am in HFC Sports Court. Yoga positions are shown for every level including first time practicers. Participants are encouraged to honor their bodies at all times. Practiced regularly, 40 yoga improves posture, balance, flexibility, anxiety, stress, and provides a host of other benefits. Chair yoga will be offered if requested.
