EASTER (RESURRECTION) SUNDAY SUNRISE SERVICE By Debby Landgrebe Rejoice and celebrate the blessing of Resurrection Sunday on Easter, April 9. Bring your golf carts, blankets, family, friends, visitors and neighbors. Most of all bring your heart prepared to sing praises to the Risen Lord and be filled with abundant joy! Come early as Service will begin promptly at 7 am behind the Clubhouse, in the garden/lawn overlooking Lake Ashton. Gather to hear a local pastor and sing wonderful Easter hymns. For those also planning to attend their own church service, the LA Sunrise Service will conclude by 8. Seating will be available as well as golf cart parking. An offering will be taken. Everyone is welcome, regardless of belief. We have many reasons to be thankful and many reason to pray. Hope to see you Easter Sunday, April 9, behind the Clubhouse in the gardens at 7 am. Join friends and neighbors at 6 pm in the Clubhouse Ballroom to sing the night away. Tickets are on sale at the Clubhouse Activities Office for $5. DERBY DAY PARTY Enjoy glamorous hats, dapper outfits, mint juleps and more at the Clubhouse Derby Day party on May 6 at 4 pm. The dazzling decor will transport you to the heart of Churchill Downs and feel like you're partying at the Turf Club. Be entertained at the cocktail-styled party by acoustic classic country music from Joey Foley while indulging in delicious hors d'oeuvres for $25. Prizes will be given for the most fabulous hat and best Derby style! End the evening with a live stream of the Kentucky Derby. Purchase your Derby Day ticket starting April 3 at 10 am at the Clubhouse Activities Office with a check payable to LACDD, Visa, or MasterCard.
