Enjoy Spring Fling activities at the Clubhouse! During the month of April, there will be one activity each week leading up to Spirit Week and Senior Prom. The first activity is a Pool Party on April 1 from 2 to 6 pm. Ashton Tap & Grill will be offering a $14.99 cook-out special consisting of a hamburger, a hot dog, coleslaw, baked beans, corn on the cob, and ice cream. Rock Painting with the LA Rockers will take place in the Ballroom at 3 pm on April 8. Search for Ashton Tap & Grill “free item” coupons and candy-filled eggs at the Egg Hunt April 15 at 11 am (residents can only take part in the hunt if they participate in at least two other activities). Finally, the LA Garden Club will be celebrating both Spring and Earth Day by teaching how to make seed bombs on April 22 at 3 pm in the Ballroom. A NIGHT UNDER THE STARS SENIOR PROM Come reminisce at Lake Ashton's very own Senior Prom in the Clubhouse Ballroom April 30 at 7 pm. $25 tickets include light hors d’oeuvres, dessert, a beverage (spiked rum or virgin punch, bottled domestic beer, or house wine), a commemorative photo keepsake, and live entertainment by the AV Project and the Franchise Players. April 26 – Mascot Monday: Wear your favorite team regalia or the colors of your alma mater to Monday Coffee for a Lake Ashton pep rally. April 28 – Way-Back Wednesday: Dress up in clothing that represents your favorite decade and dance away at a Decades Dance in the Ballroom from 7 pm to 9 pm. Don’t forget to grab your drinks from the cash bar! April 29 – Tropical Thursday: Guys, pull out that Hawaiian shirt your wife hates. Gals, put some hibiscus in your hair, and come on down to the luau! Enjoy tasty tropical fare from Ashton Tap & Grill. A live DJ, sponsored by Kevin Wetlin of State Farm and Matt Simpson of Edward Jones, will set the tropical vibes with great tunes from 5 to 8 pm on the outside patio! Tickets are $18 per person.
