Residents are fortunate to have wonderful amenities that can be enjoyed year round. Don't let the sun and rain intimidate you — there are plenty of fun things to do inside, and outdoor activities can also be enjoyed safely. Remember to wear sunscreen and stay hydrated when enjoying outdoor activities. Hurricane season officially begins June 1 and supervisors, staff and the Lake Ashton Public Safety organizations are here to ensure residents are as safe and prepared as possible. Now is a great time to ensure you are signed up to receive email blasts from the Clubhouse and HFC. Public safety announcements, scheduled events and important meetings are sent via email blast. Visit lakeashtoncdd.com to sign up. After 14.5 incredible years, the time has come for me to say goodbye as Community Director at Lake Ashton. I received a promotion with GMS and will be transitioning to being a District Manager on July 3. Writing this article is far more difficult than I expected, because this community has meant so much to me throughout the years. When I first joined Lake Ashton, I could not have imagined the friendships, memories, and experiences that would become such an important part of my life. Over the years, I have had the privilege of working with so many wonderful residents, volunteers, and community leaders, who truly make this community extraordinary. What makes Lake Ashton special has never just been the beautiful amenities or events — it is the people. It is the neighbors who look out for one another, the volunteers who give their time so generously, the smiling faces at community events, and the countless conversations and moments shared along the way. Your kindness, support, and sense of community are what make Lake Ashton such an amazing place to call home. I am incredibly grateful for the trust you placed in me over the past 14.5 years. Serving this community has been one of the greatest honors of my career, and I will always treasure the relationships and memories that came with it. While this chapter is coming to a close, the memories and friendships I have made here will stay with me forever. Thank you for your support, encouragement, patience, and most importantly, your friendship. I wish all of you continued happiness, health, and success in the years ahead. Lake Ashton will always hold a very special place in my heart. Welcome Denise! Many of you have already had the opportunity to meet Denise Plavetzky, Lake Ashton’s new Community Director.
