GOLF BOB HARMON MEMORIAL GOLF TOURNAMENT By Kate Harmon The Bob Harmon Memorial Golf Tournament was once again a meaningful day of golf, community, and generosity at Lake Ashton, raising more than $18,000 for The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research. Held in memory of Bob Harmon and his 11 years of Golf for the Cure, the tournament brought together friends, neighbors, golfers, volunteers, and supporters who shared a common goal: honoring Bob’s legacy while helping advance research toward better treatments and, ultimately, a cure for Parkinson’s disease. Thanks to the dedication of participants, sponsors, donors, and organizers, this year’s event was a tremendous success. The funds raised will support The Michael J. Fox Foundation’s mission to accelerate high-impact Parkinson’s research and improve the lives of those living with the disease. The Harmon family extends heartfelt thanks to everyone who played, volunteered, donated, sponsored, or helped make the tournament possible. They’d like to give an extra thank you to the Pro Shop and the team at the Eagle’s Nest who made all the food. Events like this reflect the very best of the Lake Ashton community: compassion, commitment, and the willingness to come together for a cause that touches so many lives. 40 Altogether, the Lake Ashton community has raised over half a million dollars for MJFF, 100% of which has gone toward a cure, for Bob. Bob’s memory continues to inspire action, and this year’s tournament is a powerful reminder that a community united in purpose can make a real difference. MESSAGE FROM THE PRO SHOP By Kevin Baker, General Manager Happy June from Lake Ashton Golf Club! We would like to share a few exciting updates and reminders as we head into the summer season. Our Summer Membership Program is now available, with rates starting at just $1,000 for an individual membership and $1,500 for a family membership. This membership includes unlimited golf and use of the driving range for the next four months. Broken down daily, that is only about $8.33 per day for an individual or $6.25 per day for a family — an incredible value for unlimited summer golf. As an added bonus, anyone who signs up during the month of June will automatically be entered into a drawing to win a $100 Eagles Nest gift certificate along with complimentary guest passes. The continued success and long-term sustainability of the golf course relies heavily on a strong and active membership base. This summer program is a great opportunity to support the club while enjoying some of the best golfing months of the year. After all, there is nothing better than a quick nine holes after one of our afternoon summer rain showers passes through at 5:30 p.m. You may also notice our volunteer marshals out on the golf courses throughout the community. Their role is to help ensure all golfers are properly checked in through the golf shop prior to play. Any guests or residents found playing without registering will have applicable fees charged directly to their account and reflected on their monthly statement.
