It is essential to stay properly hydrated when participating in either indoor activities such as fitness classes or outdoors to stay safe and healthy. Please mark your calendar for Lake Ashton II Community Development District (LAIICDD) meeting scheduled for June 18 at 9 am in the Community Center. This meeting offers an important opportunity for community members to remain informed about district affairs, engage in meaningful discussion, and connect with fellow residents. Your attendance is instrumental in supporting the ongoing development and wellbeing of Lake Ashton. If you are unable to attend, you can access the meeting via ZOOM. You are invited to live musical entertainment by the Red Hot Roosters, on June 19 at the HFC from 6 to 9 pm. Admission is $10 and you can also reserve a table at the HFC Activities Desk. The popular food truck “Something Different” will be on site for your convenience as well. Please monitor your email for special announcements regarding Lake Ashton’s 250th USA Anniversary Celebration. This gala affair is filled with fun patriotic activities the week of the 4th of July, culminating on Saturday the 4th. The May LA Times (page 29) shows a list of activities for this community event. Also, LA veterans and first responders will be honored and recognized for their service via a Display Board with their ‘then’ and ‘now’ photos. We value you, our residents of Lake Ashton, and appreciate your positive contribution to the community. UPCOMING CDD SUPERVISOR QUALIFYING PERIOD This year the LA (LW) Community Development District has three seats up for election, and LA II (WH) Community Development District has two seats up for election. The qualifying period runs from noon on June 8 and closes at noon on June 12. Each seat carries a four-year term of office. Elections are nonpartisan and will be held at the same time as the general election on November 3, 2026.
