HOMELESS GRADUATING SENIORS OF POLK COUNT Y By Doris Reisinger Generous, kind, and caring are all adjectives that describe Lake Ashton residents. One large donation was given from the Shufflin' Squares in honor of a deceased member, Carol Lee Schwartz. Thank you Lake Ashton Republican Club for allowing me to speak which resulted in several donations. This year’s total was $9,420, which included 115 gift cards! Four large boxes of toiletries were also collected. In addition this year due to all your generosity a small scholarship will be awarded to one student from each high school. Well done, neighbors! BOOKMOBILE RETURNS! The Bookmobile is finally returning to Lake Ashton on the second and fourth Wednesday of each month from 9 am to 4:30 pm! Residents will be able to return library books and check out new ones from the Bookmobile. The drop off bin in the Ballroom is no longer available. TROPHY WALL By Vicki Creek The current trophy cabinet located outside of the bowling alley at the Clubhouse will be replaced with a brand new and updated Lake Ashton Trophy Wall. Does your organization have a trophy, plaque, medal, or photo they would like to have on display? If so please email Vicki Creek at vlcreek@gmail.com for more information on how to have your items displayed. 12
