LA PICKLEBALL By Coach Dennis Santino The new pickleball courts are now completed at the HFC. LAPA would like to give a special thanks to the Lake Ashton Tennis Group for working together to bring this project to fruition. The Tennis Complex at the Clubhouse has also been refurbished. Residents that play either (or both) sports are encourage to join these established Clubs. LAPA organized another fun Memorial Day member’s mixer. The next scheduled member’s event is a mixer and barbecue on July 5 to celebrate Independence Day. Sign up sheet is at the HFC. Coaches Corner: Getting to the non-volley. The goal is not just getting to the NVC but to create scoring opportunities. When hitting a good deep return don’t admirer your shot, get to the NVC with your partner. This creates scoring opportunities by putting pressure on your opponents.
