CREATE A CARD Join the group on July 18 at 10 am in the HFC Sports Court to create your own lovely greeting cards. A guest expert will provide instruction, from beginner to expert, all supplies and equipment, and three beautiful cards to take home. No experience needed. Cost is $10. Sign up at the HFC. Call Karen at 262-497-3272 with questions. SEASONAL FLORAL FRAMES Join resident crafter and floral enthusiast Pam Klawinski on July 11 at 11:30 am to make your very own unique seasonal décor! Learn how to arrange seasonal colored florals on an 8x10 picture frame that will be interchangeable for $10. The florals will be interchangeable for every season and holiday! Pam will host a class with each changing season so you can have a seasonal arrangement in your frame for summer, fall, winter and spring. CRAFTING WITH CARMEN — TIE DYE Make tie dye shirts with Carmen on July 20 at 11:30 am in the Clubhouse Ballroom. Shirts, dye, and instructions will be included for $15. Accidents happen, so don’t wear your favorite outfit or bring EDUCATIONAL CBD LUNCHEON Lunch and learn about CBD and how to use it in your everyday life on July 6 at 12 pm in the Clubhouse Ballroom. They will provide insight into the helpfulness and everyday use of CDB while answering any questions. Sign up at the Clubhouse Activities Office. FALL RI SK PREVENTION SEMINAR Stop by the HFC for a presentation on the risks of falling and ways to prevent it on July 11 at 1 pm. AMATEUR RADIO L ICENSE CLASS The Lake Ashton Amateur Radio Association is trying to judge if residents are interested in a Technician licensing class given at Lake Ashton once a week for three weeks, two hours per class (September 5, 12, and 19) at the HFC Poker Room. After completion of the class the Lake Wales Repeater Association has test sessions for all levels of license the first Saturday of the month at the Winter Haven Red Cross building. If you are interested, send your name, phone number and email address to DBishop1867@gmail.com (please respond even if you have already done so). You will be advised if there is sufficient interest to hold a class. We are also offering to assist anyone wishing to upgrade to a General Class license, on a one on one basis, so if you would like this type of assistance please let us know and we will get you together with an Elmer (Ham Tutor) who is willing to assist you by emailing a note to the above address. We may also do that for people wishing to get a Technician license if there are not enough people interested to hold a full class.
