Fourth of July at Lake Ashton OPERATION LAKE ASHTON SHOW OUR COLORS & THE 4TH OF JULY PARADE Every year, the Lake Ashton Veterans Association (LAVA) places American Flags at the entrances and roads leading into the community on the 4th of July. We would like to invite and challenge the entire community to line your property this 4th of July with U.S. flags! LAVA is also hosting the annual 4th of July parade! The parade will be marshaled at the HFC at 8:15 am with step-off at 9. Golf carts, bicycles, and motor vehicles are all welcome. Prizes will be awarded for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places, with the announcement made via email blast the following Monday. The parade route is shown at right. Prior registration is not required. 4TH OF JULY PAR 3 SCRAMBLE Pick your Foursome. 9 am shotgun start, $22.50 includes lunch and prize purse. Lunch includes hot dog/ hamburger, coleslaw, potato salad, baked beans, macaroni salad, and ice cream. Sign up at the Pro Shop. LA ROCKERS FUNDRAISER Support the group that hides rocks, welcomes new neighbors with their own rock, and performs service projects. Their yearly fundraiser will be held July 4 at 4 pm at the Clubhouse, so stop by and check out the assortment of rocks for sale! Did you know … the LA Rockers buy all of their own supplies, including purchasing rocks, paints, and sealers? Some rocks can take up to 10 hours to complete! Choose from a huge selection of rocks — plus a silent auction and raffle rocks. Cash donations only please! See back cover for more details. Y’all Are Invited to a Roon’ Toon’ July 4th Celebon at the Clubhouse 5 pm Pulled chicken & pulled pork sandwiches provided along with watermelon and iced tea.
