JANUARY IS FULL OF OPPORTUNITIES TO GET “SIMPLY HEALTHY!” Have you met all your exercise instructors who bring you 21 classes of all varieties? Take a look and make a plan to try something new this year. Your body will thank you! Meet Rebecca: No one has more “verve” than this woman. Rebecca leads her classes with a smile and lots of encouragement. Whether it’s Chair Barre, where we do aerobic exercise and stretching using a chair for balance, or the more vigorous Pilates classes (2 per week), you’ll feel encouraged to move at your own pace and improve your overall health with cardio and stretching training. @ The HFC Meet Laurie: With more than 13 years of classes under her LA belt, you’ve likely attended a class with Laurie. She leads classes at the HFC including Aqua Pump, Dynamic Cardio Movement, Balance Stretch & Physical Fitness, and an Instructor’s Choice class where all kinds of fun moves are revealed. She’s a certified personal trainer, as well, so you can receive next-level guidance for your increased exercise needs. @ The HFC Meet Kim: Come relax and enjoy the calming moves of Chair Yoga with Kim, who leads her classes with humor while providing education and encouragement. This is a class for those of us who prefer not to get down on a mat. She leads her class with gentle movement, gives a wide range of moves that require you to slow down, breathe and relax. You’ll feel like you’ve been to the spa! $5 @ The Clubhouse Meet Katie: Katie is leading our new Dynamic Hybrid Stretching class, a type of exercise that uses controlled, flowing movements to warm up the body and prepare it for a workout. Unlike static stretching where you hold a pose, Dynamic Stretching involves actively moving your muscles through their full range of motion, increasing blood flow, and reducing stiffness. “Hybrid” means you will use both a chair and a mat. Bring your mat! $5 @ The Clubhouse Meet Paula: Paula has led Jazzercise for 29+ years and knows how to make you forget you’re doing the work! Whether you join the Dance Aerobics class or the Aqua Motion class, you’ll enjoy her highenergy. vivacious personality. Paula’s goal is to provide good guidance in helping you achieve your fitness goals. She changes it up so you’ll never be bored. @ The HFC Meet Clinton: Boot Camp sounds a little scary, right? Not when Clinton is your instructor! He brings many years’ experience and qualifications as a personal trainer in the area. It’s the perfect time to challenge yourself back into shape, or stay motivated. Isn’t it easier when you work with others working toward similar goals? And his clients love the changes they’re seeing in their strength, tone, and energy levels. You CAN do it, with encouragement and expert training. $5 @ The HFC Meet Rea: She has a zest for life and exercise! Rea leads her Well-Being is Now (W.I.N.) class with a vigor that’s unmatched. Give her an hour and she’ll give you a higher-level, totalbody workout, including stretches, aerobic exercise, muscle resistance, balance, and flexibility. And Rea guarantees you’ll have fun while sculpting your whole body. It’s a WIN! $5 @ The HFC
