VINTAGE ROADSHOW It’s time for Lake Ashton’s third Vintage Roadshow on January 7 at 6 pm in the Clubhouse Craft Room! A group of very knowledgeable vendors from G's Vintage Market in Lake Wales will be in attendance to help share their knowledge of your beloved or unique antique/vintage/retro items. Categories and time increments are as follows: • Jewelry, Watches, & Clocks (please no more than 3 pieces per person) – 15 minutes per person • Ceramics, Pottery, & Glassware – 10 minutes per person • Toys, Sports, & Holiday – 10 minutes per person • Books, Paper Items, & Electronic – 10 minutes per person • Signs & Advertisement Pieces – 10 minutes per person • ·Coins – 15 minutes per person • Tools, Cast Iron, & Military – 10 minutes per person • Electronics – 10 minutes per person • Furniture – Limited to the first 6 to sign up, the vendor will come to your house to look at your item. ONE CATEGORY PER RESIDENT, PLEASE. MURDER MYSTERY MASQUERADE Everyone loves a good murder mystery! Join in on the mysterious masked fun on January 16 in the Clubhouse Ballroom at 7 pm. Enjoy delectable desserts and drinks from the cash bar while trying to figure out who dunnit. No need to dress on theme, but it is always more fun when you play the part! Purchase tickets online for $30 by January 9. CHILI COOK-OFF By David Harrison As we get closer to our January 23 Chili Cookoff, the need for bakers is utmost. We have signed up all the chili cookers we need, so now it's time to turn our attention to bakers. We have a beautiful 26 bake table that we sell packaged goods for $1 which raises money for our cause. Please sign up online or get in touch with Kerry Maag at 630-776-1752. Tasting tickets are available for purchase online — 6 for $5 or 12 for $10. Tasting tickets will also be sold at Monday Coffee. The event is 4 to 6 pm in the Clubhouse Ballroom. TAG SALE (GARAGE SALE) SATURDAY JANUARY 31 FROM 8 AM TO 2 PM IN THE CLUBHOUSE BALLROOM Forms to Reserve a table or two (be there with a neighbor) are $25 per table. Pick up the forms either at the HFC or the LAVA Auxiliary Mail Slot in Sheila's office at the Clubhouse. Checks should be made payable to LAVA Auxiliary and returned with the completed form to the LAVA Auxiliary Mail slot, Sheila's office. HOME IMPROVEMENT EXPO RESCHEDULED It's that time again! Lake Ashton residents are invited to the Clubhouse Ballroom where we will have a wide variety of vendors to aid in any home improvement needs. The vendors participating in the Expo range in expertise such as solar paneling, windows, air conditioning, house cleaning, electrical and so much more. This free event will be taking place February 20 from 10 am to 1 pm. VALENTINE ’ S DINNER DANCE Save the date for February 13, 2026 at 6 pm in the Clubhouse Ballroom! Charm City will be catering a delicious dinner and providing a cash bar. Dance to live music from the Southshore Cruisers Band after dinner. Tickets are on sale now online for $50.
