The meeting was open to the entire Lake Ashton community, and the ARC thanks all residents who attended. Both the East and West ARC committees remain committed to helping homeowners maintain and take pride in the appearance of their homes. The key takeaway from the meeting was that proper paver maintenance is a multi-step process and that sealing pavers is an ongoing maintenance responsibility rather than a one-time fix. Proper paver care includes stripping old sealers, treating efflorescence and stains, deep cleaning, replacing breathable joint sand, and applying a breathable sealer. In some cases, a color-enhancing additive may be used to help restore the pavers’ original appearance. Paver sealing is typically recommended every three years. Many modern sealers can be recoated without full stripping if the existing sealer is in good condition.
