Tickets go on sale for $45 on January 5 online and at the Clubhouse Activities Office. This is a night you won’t want to miss! MARDI GRAS PARDI It’s time to pardi hardi, it's Mardi Gras y’all! Let the good times roll and dance the night away to a live DJ on March 4. Don’t forget your cash for the Cash Bar. And who knows what surprises the night might have in store! Tickets go on sale online in February, keep an eye out for more information. LAKE ASHTON’S FINE ARTS & PHOTOGRAPHY SHOW Calling all Lake Ashton Artists and Photographers! The 17th Annual Lake Ashton Fine Arts & Photography Show will take place on Saturday, March 8 in the Clubhouse Ballroom. Thanks to our wonderful sponsors there is no fee to enter your art and photography work. The show is open to all Lake Ashton residents, attendance is free and refreshments will be provided. Applications and detailed instructions will be available at the Clubhouse in early January. Saturday January 25, 2025 there will be a general informational meeting. Deadline for applications is Monday February 3, 2025. We have so many talented residents so this should be a great show! BOLLA’S TRASH TO TREASURE FUNDRAISER By Diane Dillon Blankets of Love at Lake Ashton (BOLLA) is pleased to announce their upcoming Trash to Treasure Sale on March 14 and 15. The popular event, held every other year, will be open to residents only on Friday, March 14 from 4 to 8 pm in the Clubhouse Ballroom. It will be open to the general public on Saturday, 32 Trash to Treasure is a great way to pick up that special something and to support a wonderful organization serving Polk county’s children in crisis. A variety of items including furniture, jewelry, sports equipment, décor, kitchenware, framed art, craft supplies, linens and more will be available. There will also be a raffle for a Lottery Tree with $100 worth of assorted lottery tickets. Watch for upcoming news regarding drop off times to donate items. In the meantime, if you have small furniture items that you need to donate early, you may contact Amity Kokochak at 813-719-5579, or Gloria Fitzsimmons at 863-207-2552 to make arrangements for your donation. Trash to Treasure is BOLLA’s primary fundraising activity enabling the group to consistently donate over 1000 blankets per year to children in crisis. BOLLA is 501c recognized charity. LA CRUISE-IN Shine up that chrome, get those tires scrubbed, and rev those engines, it’s time for the Cruise-In again! Join us on March 23 from 2 pm to 5 pm in the west parking lot of the Clubhouse to enjoy food trucks, classic and modern cars alike, and live music from Southbound. We will be judging cars and presenting the winners of each category with a prize. The categories are Best Classic (pre-1989), Best Modern (post-1989), and Crowd Favorite winners will receive a ribbon and a gift card! Registration ends on March 8. Please sign up online.
