LAVA AUXILIARY By Chris Graves MAGIC YEARS CLUB By Lynne Judd MARK YOUR CALENDARS – Wednesday, February 19 at 6 pm (special time), stop by the Clubhouse near the stage to support the Girl Scouts’ “Cookies for the Military”. This is certainly a “Sweet Deal” because you can not only purchase cookies for yourself and friends, but also make a donation (optional) towards the purchase of Girl Scout Cookies for active military. Non-members are welcome to stay for our meeting at 6:30 p.m. At the January meeting we presented a check for $5,000 to the Chairman (Captain Robert Buehn Retired USN) of Operation New Uniform (ONU), the veteran charity for the 2024 Craft Fair. ONU helps train retired military and their spouses for civilian jobs. The next Craft Fair is October 25. The Vendor application packet can be picked up at the Clubhouse. We have limited number of spaces available. God Bless America! Disney lovers continue to share knowledge, experiences and each other's company at the Magic Years Club meetings on the second Monday of each month at 7 pm in the HFC Craft Room. We usually do a little trivia quiz for fun and anyone can bring questions. Any Lake Ashton member is welcome to join. There is also a Lake Ashton Disney Lovers Facebook page that anyone can share info to once you are a member, and where you might just learn about upcoming events or new information related to WDW. Twenty two members of our group met at Columbia Restaurant in Celebration for a delicious dinner in December (and got to see it snow in the Town Center) and a group of nine met for lunch at Blaze Pizza in Disney Springs in January.
