LA 2025 FASHION SHOW By Kristy McKibben The show is Wednesday, March 5 at 11:30 am. The theme is “Elevate Your Style.” Doors open at 11 with shopping before and after the luncheon and show. Babe’s Shoes and Apparel of Lakeland will have a full Boutique set up in the Ballroom. You will choose your lunch choice when you purchase your ticket. MARDI GRAS PARADE By Gina Krall Laissez les bon temps rouler (Let the Good Times Roll)! The newly crowned 2025 Lake Ashton Mardi Gras King and Queen will be leading our krewe in the Lake Wales Mardi Gras Parade once again on Saturday, March 1 at 3 pm in downtown Lake Wales. The Royals (whose names, according to MG tradition, will not be disclosed until the evening of the Krewe Ball) will be leading the LA Krewe of over 45 participants, tossing beads and ushering in the float carrying Jazz Entertainer Diana Lynn. The two LA marching groups, Ashtonettes (baton twirlers) and Shakers (pom poms) will be struttin’ their way up and down the streets along with sign carrier Ambassadors, colorfully dressed Knights passing out toys and balloons, and bead tossers.
