LACDD NEWS By Christine Wells, LA (LW) CDD Community Director (cwells@lakeashtoncdd.com) Busy season at Lake Ashton has officially begun. Seasonal residents are getting settled into their winter homes and calendars are filling up quickly with all the entertainment and activities available during this time of year. In this edition of the LA Times residents will find activities including shows featuring world-renowned entertainers, golf and sporting events, and a multitude of dinners and club events. There is truly something for everyone. January was a great month with a magic show, the Texas Tenors, and celebrating the King's 90th birthday. Feedback surveys have gone out for all of these activities. Please complete the surveys in your email whether you went to the activity or not. If you did not go please let us know why. The Lake Ashton Activities Advisory Group meets on a monthly basis to review the results of these feedback surveys. This information is used to determine future activity planning. On January 21, Lake Ashton Community Development District (LACDD) Supervisors met to attend to Board matters. Supervisors approved a color coating project for the Clubhouse Tennis Courts. The project will include patching of cracks, painting, and lining the Tennis Courts. This maintenance process helps extend the life of the courts. The Board also heard from the District Engineer and District Attorney as well as staff. A wrap up report with more details of the meeting was sent out in an email blast. If you did not receive this, please contact Christine Wells. Residents should also go to lakeashtoncdd.com to view agenda packets, minutes from meetings and more information. During this busy time of year staff is working hard to ensure the level of customer service residents are accustomed to is not affected by the increase in workload. Please be patient if you encounter lines at the Activities Office or Clubhouse Office. Staff works hard to give each resident a personalized experience and sometimes that takes a little time. Residents can visit the Clubhouse or HFC to receive clerical services, including faxing, scanning, copying, and notary services. Residents can also register their guests at both locations during posted office hours. Staff and volunteers appreciate all the words of encouragement and smiling faces during the distribution of RFID tags and Amenity Access Cards. It truly took a village and what a mighty village we have here!
