GOLF LALGA By Lydia Fichtman January was an amazing month for the LALGA with the Solheim Cup. Congratulations to the winners. Everyone involved seemed to enjoy themselves at both the pairing party and the tournament. Kudos to Cheryl Coveleski and her committee — well done! We Care For Kids held its annual collection of collection of hygiene kits. A shout out to Nancy Zografos and her committee for their support of the kids in our communities. In addition, a special thank you to all the LALGA members who donated for these kits. Your endless support is always much appreciated. Nominations for the 2023-2024 Board are quickly approaching. The positions of Vice President and Treasurer, currently held by Dori Krogman and Lynne Abbott respectively will be up. If you are interested in one of these positions please give your name to either Kathy Reed, Rita Lee or Carol Williams by February 24. Voting will take place in the spring. Thank you for considering being a member of the Board. The LALGA Facebook page is a great way to find out information about the league. If you are not currently subscribed to the page please consider doing so. Just log in to Facebook and search LALGA. You may then ask to join. At the January board meeting handicaps were discussed.
