PADDY’S DAY PARTY By David Harrison The LA Purple Stars is once again hosting a St. Paddy's Day Party on March 17 from 7 to 10 pm in the Community Room of the HFC. This is a fundraiser for the group, to benefit the American Cancer Society and everyone is proud and excited to bring this party back. Tickets are $10, cash or check payable to LA Purple Stars. DJ Wayne will provide great dance music and some Irish tunes. Tickets go on sale February 1 at the HFC. Don't forget that you can bring your favorite food and beverage. Your friends and neighbors have been working and rehearsing the 2023 Showcase, One Singular Sensation, and it's nearly time to get your tickets! The Showcase will be presented March 24 at 7:30 pm, and March 25 at 1:30 and 7:30 pm. Sales of tickets to Lake Ashton residents will start on February 21 at 8 am in the Clubhouse Ballroom. For the intrepid neighbors who line up early to be among the first to make their seat selections, there will be a number distribution sheet again, first come, first served, starting at 6 am. BYOC (coffee)! By having the sheet for the physical number in line, residents can plan their return to the Ballroom for actual ticket purchase. Residents are eligible to purchase eight tickets per Show time (Friday evening, Saturday matinee, or Saturday evening). If you need to purchase tickets for another Show time, you will need to have someone do that for you as you will not get an advance number for ticket distribution for more than one Show. Regular sales will be by check only payable to LAPAC (cash will be accepted only at the sales event February 21). The Saturday Matinee will have an extended intermission to address mobility challenges. If wheelchair use is needed please note that at the time of ticket purchase to allow row/seat configurations. There will also be sign language interpreters. The deadline for ASL reservations is February 10. Reservations can be redeemed for Matinee ticket purchase between 8 am and 12 noon on the first day of sales in the Ballroom.
