A new Director will be appointed at the Annual Meeting on February 27. Tom Hevel will be filling the position that Keith Stevens has filled since his appointment last summer. The Board would like to thank Keith for his willingness to serve, his attention to detail and his long-standing expertise in helping to guide the HOA BOD these past eight months. Welcome to the Board, Tom. The Members’ Annual Meeting is February 27 at 2 pm in the Clubhouse Ballroom. This is your meeting to bring attention to your concerns and wishes. In order to conduct business and vote on any issue, there must be a quorum of at least 97 lot owners. The future vote on the Restated CC&Rs will be delayed until the lawyer can complete their review and the HOA can reconcile their comments. There will be some Member communications on the final document prior to scheduling a vote. While all are eager to complete this task, everyone wants it executed properly and systematically. Regarding the $60 annual assessment: There is an administration fee of $5, a late fee of $25, and interest is charged at 18% per year (1.5% monthly) for late payments. Liens are also an option. Assessments are due on February 15. Thank you to you who have already paid. SUBMITTING ARC REQUESTS ( LW RESIDENTS) By Iris Realmuto, LW ARC Chair All external changes you make to your home require an ARC request and approval prior to starting any project. To submit an ARC request, go to lakeashtonhoa.org and download the form found under the Documents tab in the Architectural Information section. Complete the form by hand or on your computer, then email the completed form to admin@lakeashtonhoa.org. DO NOT USE THE ‘SUBMIT NEW REQUEST’ feature on the website. The form can also be found on the Clubhouse information wall. You can either drop the completed form in the HOA box or have it scanned at the Clubhouse Office prior to dropping it in the HOA box. The deadline for submissions is 5 pm on Wednesday prior to the next ARC meeting. The ARC meets the second and fourth Wednesday of each month. You will be notified of the status of your request within a few days of the meeting.
