CHILI COOK-OFF By David Harrison The LA Purple Stars will, once again, have their Chili Cook-Off on January 23, 2026 from 4 to 6 pm in the Clubhouse Ballroom. This event is our first fundraiser of the year for The American Cancer Society. We invite up to twenty residents to make chili for tasting. Tasting tickets are available for purchase online — 6 for $5 or 12 for $10. Tasting tickets will also be sold at Monday Coffee. Please sign up to cook chili or donate baked goods online. Charm City is our sponsor and they will be selling beer for $4 a cup. We will be selling cornbread, water and baked goods for $1. There will be judges for the best and second best chili and a Peoples Choice award. You have to use a tasting ticket for each chili so buy them to help us raise money for this worthy cause.
