FAITH XTREME CHRISTMAS CONCERT The Faith Xtreme Choir will be performing a Christmas concert for Lake Ashton on December 14 at 6 pm in the Clubhouse Ballroom. This is a multimedia event as they tell the Christmas Story through music, pictures, videos, and stories from the Bible. Please stop by the Clubhouse Activities Desk to pick up your free ticket. Seating is first come first served. There is no charge for this concert, but donations are encouraged and will be collected at the concert. NEW! LA TRIVIA By David Fix Join in for Trivia at the Clubhouse Sundays from 7 to 9 pm in the Ballroom. Hopefully this will be a Resident to Resident evening of fun to be held on a weekly basis. Maximum number of players per team is six. Individuals are encouraged to come and join an open table. OUTDOOR MENORAH LIGHTING Hanukkah begins the evening of Sunday, December 18, and ends the evening of Monday, December 26. Everyone is welcome to celebrate Hanukkah, which is Hebrew for “dedication,” and also known as the Festival of Lights, by coming to an outdoor Menorah Lighting, on December 20 at 5:30 pm in the Clubhouse West Parking Lot. This is presented by the Chabad Jewish Center. LAPAC NEWS By Karen Nelson Hello all Lake Ashton residents! Your Lake Ashton Performing Arts Corporation continues work on the 2023 Community Showcase. Your friends and neighbors who have expressed interest in performing will soon learn what their roles are. Thank you to everyone for their interest in and commitment to this annual event. Positions are still available for the vital technical and backstage roles — the Showcase cannot be produced without these critical positions. Contact any resident associated with the Showcase to be connected with a director if you are interested. Please mark your calendars for the Showcase dates: Opening Night is Friday evening, March 24, 2023. The Matinee is Saturday, March 25, 2023, at 2 pm - there will be sign language interpreters at the Saturday Matinee, as well as an extended intermission. The Closing Night is Saturday evening, March 25, 2023.
