LA REPUBLICANS By Brenda Bush-Sayre LA ROCKERS By Connie Strassberg The Lake Ashton Republican Club will host a Christmas Party on December 11 at the HFC. The party will begin with cocktails at 4:30 pm. A cash bar and heavy hors d’oeuvres will be available. All party guests are asked to bring an unwrapped toy for a girl or boy for the purpose of local donation in Polk County. Please RSVP to Brenda Bush-Sayre, bbs1954@icloud.com,813-313-9911. The browns, oranges, and yellows of Fall are being replaced by the greens and reds of Christmas and the blues and whites of Hanukkah. Lake Ashton residents are decorating their homes and community to celebrate and LA Rockers are busily painting holiday rocks to donate to a local nursing home and to hide throughout Lake Ashton. Hope that you are one of the lucky ones who finds a beautiful treasure to keep or pass on. If you are looking to get together, make friends, and learn something different, come to the HFC ballroom on alternate Wednesdays from 2 to 4 pm to meet a great group of people and learn to paint rocks. It’s free! No need for first timers to make a huge investment for supplies — you can borrow what you need. Upcoming meetings will be December 1, 15 and 29. THANK YOU LAVA AUXILIARY AND LAKE ASHTON NEIGHBORS! The Craft Fair was a tremendous success! Many stopped by as they were leaving (bags in hand) to say how much they enjoyed attending the Craft Fair. Vendors were extremely pleased as well. More than 17 have signed up for next year! Thanks to the bakers who provided their homemade baked goods. The Bake Shop was a tremendous success. Thank you to LAVA for their support with parking and helping vendors bring in their goods to set up their booth. May you be blessed with making happy memories this holiday season. Keep in prayer members of the military who will not be with family this season.
