LACDD NEWS What’s new at the Clubhouse? Stop by the Clubhouse Fitness Center to try out the new Smith Machine. While you are there also try out the new bench with Leg Curl and Preacher Curl attachments. By Christine Wells, LA (LW) CDD Community Director (cwells@lakeashtoncdd.com) Stop by the Clubhouse Lobby this month to check out John Moore's breadth of artistic talent. John (pictured at right) is truly a jack of all trades. He taught line dancing at Lake Ashton for over 18 years, sews, sings, and is an accomplished artist with several ribbons for his artwork. He has an infectious smile, stories for days, and is always willing to help anyone. You will often find John at Monday Coffee or sitting on his front porch enjoying the outdoors. The year is more than half over already, but there are many more fun things to come! Be sure to check out the Events section on page 24 to read more about upcoming neighborhood activities including 3 more Summer Music Series events and a Fall Festival in November. A wrap up report of actions taken was sent via email. The budget was adopted with no increase to the assessment for Lake Wales residents. The Operations and Maintenance fee ($2,569 for Lake Wales residents) will be listed on the non-ad valorem taxes section on the bottom of your tax bill which will be received in the next several months. The fiscal year 2026 meeting schedule was adopted and the dates are listed below. Please stay tuned to electronic media for any changes to the meeting schedule as voted on by the Board of Supervisors. Residents are encouraged to attend meetings in person or via Zoom.
