HAUNTING ON THE LAKE II By Terri McDuff LAPAC’s Halloween Fundraiser event, Haunting II On the Lake is just around the corner. Remember to save the date for Saturday, October 28. Tickets will go on sale in late September, $15 for adults and $10 for children. The event will run from 4 to 9 pm with limited time slots every half hour allowing groups of no more than 35 people per time slot to move through the ballroom. As with many hauntings, be prepared to expect the unexpected to happen! Join in the fun by dressing up in your own costume! At the end of your tour, there will be treats handed out so bring your trick or treat bag with you. We are still in need of lead volunteers to help with decorating, painting, acting as well as with hair and makeup and many other areas. Anyone interested in being a volunteer, please contact Terri McDuff at 916-201-7745. CHRISTMAS IS COMING! I needed to scale it down to look symmetric for our cart. Then another 3 weeks to cut and paint all the pieces and assemble. The wings needed to fold up for travel. Also, I added the afterburner sound for fun! During the parade it was funny to see how many people looking to the sky for the jet. The plan went well and I guess I will need to start working on next years design. Thank you all for the great reviews and responses! Knowing how many of you enjoyed our cart was worth all the time and work.” Disclaimer: This photo opportunity was set up in advance through LAVA for this specified purpose only. Golf carts are not permitted to drive through or park in this area.
