EVENTS Camp Lake Ashton runs throughout August ... see back cover for the full schedule. read on for details of a few of the bigger events! CAMPFIRE JAM SESSION We know, your first thought went straight to those pesky mosquitos but not to worry, this campfire will be inside! All Lake Ashton musicians are invited to bring the heat August 26 at 6:30 pm in the Clubhouse Ballroom. All campers are welcome to bring snacks and attend to listen to friends and neighbors jam together. You can also BYOB. CYPRESS GARDENS WATER SKI SHOW RETURNS! They’re back, better than ever, and in your backyard on August 5! Marvel at the skiing spectacle on Lake Ashton at 6 pm. First come, first served seating in the Clubhouse Garden will be available. Bring your own folding chair or blanket. Golf carts will not be permitted past a specified point due to the water skier's safety. You can BYOB if you wish. CAMP LAKE ASHTON JAMBOREE Everyone is welcome to take part in the Jamboree at August 20 at 1 pm in the Clubhouse Ballroom featuring live music from AlmostThere and a DIY Trail Mix Bar. You can also BYOB if you wish. POOL PARTY It wouldn’t be camp without a pool party! Take a swim in the outdoor pool August 25 from 1 to 3 pm, jive to great tunes, and eat the staple of all summer snacks, juicy, sweet watermelon. You can also BYOB but remember, no glass bottles are permitted in the pool area. CAMP HOEDOWN Mosey on down to the Clubhouse Ballroom for the final Camp Lake Ashton event August 31 at 7 pm featuring live country music by Red Hot Rooster. There will be a snack bar and non-alcoholic beverages available for campers to enjoy while cutting a rug. Camp Awards for both campers and volunteer camp counselors will be given during the event as well. Please sign up at the Clubhouse Activities Desk. You can also BYOB if you wish. SUNDAY FUNDAY Enjoy live music with friends and neighbors in the Clubhouse Ballroom from 3 to 6 pm. Your $3 tickets cover the band — purchase at the Clubhouse Activities Desk. You’re welcome to BYOB and snacks! August 14 – Quittin’ Time Band August 28 – Good Stuff Band KARAOKE Enjoy a fun night of karaoke in the Clubhouse Ballroom from 7 – 9 pm on August 19 with DJ Wayne! Get your $2 tickets at the Clubhouse Activities Desk. ENTERTAINMENT AT THE HFC Stop by the HFC Activities Desk to reserve a table for Carlos and Company for Friday, August 19. There will be a live band signing a genre of music. So come join your friends and neighbors for a night of dancing.
