LA NINERS By Marti Schmidt Help us celebrate Carolyn Alvero for her Hole-In-One on 12 West of February 26, 2024 – WAY TO GO! We had a great turnout for our February 19-20 Pick-Your-Partner Two Person Scramble Ringer, followed by a delicious lunch of either shrimp tacos or pulled pork sandwich at Charm City. April’s Closing Day has arrived with a Tropical Tuesday Theme on April 2nd, including free luncheon for all (buy your own cocktails.) Looking forward to seeing everyone there! Hard to believe that our “traveling” members will be leaving for parts unknown (or their other homes) this month and the summer season will start April 9th. Safe travels for those leaving for a while, and please continue sending healing thoughts to our members and/or their families who continue to struggle with health issues. Still have questions? Ready to join? Contact Denise at denisepops23@aol.com for more info! LALGA By Beverly Hines LALGA Play Day and Closing Luncheon is April 9th. The play should be fun with a 1-2-3 Shamble format. The primary purpose of the closing luncheon is to present awards to the members for accomplishments in golf and to formally announce the elected officers for the upcoming season. We are appreciative of all the work our Board, volunteers, Golf Pros, and Eagles Nest staff do for our league. Elections for the office of President and Secretary were held in March. Margie Desham was nominated for President and Sandra Lancaster for Secretary. President and Secretary are elected in even years for a 2-year term. New officers will begin their terms on June 1. LakeAshtonLiving.com/community/golf/lalga has a complete list of Board members as well as other information about the league. LALGA Play Days will continue during the spring and summer months. 18-Holers Ladies Golf every Tuesday - Shotgun Start at 9:00 am. Our summer tournament will be held July 8 & 9.
