SAFETY SPECIAL SAFETY PRESENTATIONS AT MONDAY COFFEE IN MARCH The Lake Ashton Neighborhood Watch “Meet the Police Chiefs Forum” took place at Monday Coffee on March 7. Chief Velasquez from the Lake Wales Police Department and Chief Brannan f rom t he Wi n t e r Haven Po l i ce Department were there to provide their perspectives and answer questions from residents. Then, on March 14, Grady Judd was the special guest speaker at Monday Coffee. MESSAGE FROM THE NW CHIEF Thank you to the police chiefs, public safety officers and groups including CAP, CERT, and the Lake Ashton Amateur Radio Association who came together under the Neighborhood Watch umbrella to make this presentation a great success. Neighborhood Watch continues to be a recognized leader helping our community to stay safe with a“Zero Tolerance for Crime” policy! - Neighborhood Watch Chief Fay Wood Citizens Assisted Patrol (CAP), pictured below, is always looking for more volunteers to patrol the streets. Also pictured, George Fetcho receives recognition for over 100 hours of service. Earl Hope, Edwin Ciesluk, and Mike Weissberg also received recognition. Come help be the eyes, ears, and presence for the Sheriff’s department. Patrols are once a week for two hours. Applications are available in the Clubhouse and HFC.
