JOINT AMENITY FACI L ITIES POL ICY HIGHL IGHT Each month an excerpt from the Joint Amenity Facilities Policy will be featured in the LA Times. This month outlines the policies in place for the Library/Media Centers at the Clubhouse and HFC. LIBRARY/MEDIA CENTERS 1. There are two library/media centers, one in the Clubhouse and one in the HFC. They have books, puzzles, computers, tables, DVDs and an area for reading. 2. Books and puzzles are donated by Patrons for use by other Patrons. They may be removed but must be returned upon completion to either Amenity Facility. 3. District computers and their content, including email, are subject to monitoring and access by the District at any time with or without consent or prior knowledge of the user. The District reserves the right to monitor any use of network resources, to monitor computer and internet usage, including, but not limited to: sites visited, searches conducted, information uploaded or downloaded and to access, retrieve and delete any data stored in, created, received, or sent over the network or using network resources for any reason. 4. It is strictly prohibited to use a District compute for wireless internet access to seek, send or store Inappropriate Content (as defined herein) and/or for unauthorized copying of copyrighted material. Examples of copyrighted materials include, but are not limited to: commercial music, video, graphics, or other intellectual property. The Districts assume no responsibility for any damages, direct or indirect, that may occur from the use of its electronic resources. Users of the Districts computers and/or wireless internet access peruse the internet at their own risk, realizing the potential for accessing offensive, inaccurate, illegal, or fraudulent information. 5. The District reserves the right to revoke any User’s access to the Districts’ computers and/or wireless internet at any time. MEDIA CENTER COMPUTERS REMINDER Please remember the computers located in the Media Center are public computers. Residents should be careful when accessing sensitive information on these public computers. There have been instances where personal information has been left up on computers or printer, leaving it susceptible to being accessed by anyone. Safeguard your personal information at all times and please remember these are not personal home computers, but are accessed by many residents and guests everyday. Please note in the Clubhouse Media Center the computer closest to the printer is the only computer that is set up to print. ELECTION DAY APRIL 5 The Regular Municipal Election for the City of Lake Wales is April 5. There are two seats up for election: Seat 1, At-Large currently held by Mayor Eugene Fultz and Seat 4, District 27 currently held by Jack Hilligoss. Lake Ashton residents living in Lake Wales can vote in person in the Clubhouse Ballroom on Election Day or contact the Supervisor of Elections at 863.534.5888 to request an absentee ballot. The polls are open from 7 am to 7 pm. To find out more, contact the City of Lake Wales City Clerk at 863.678,4182, or visit polkelections.com. There will be no activities in the Ballroom and no movies shown. The Activities Desk will remain open from 9 am - 5 pm.
