Sammy has a mommy and daddy, they love each other.

Sammy likes playing video games and drawing pictures with their friends.

Many of Sammy’s friends are either a boy or a girl. The boys like the girls and the girls like the boys.

Sammy sometimes felt like a girl and sometimes felt like a boy. They also liked both boys and girls.

This made Sammy feel different and didn’t tell the others about how they felt.

Sammy was afraid they would all be mean to them or laugh at them.

Sammy had nightmare about it. They began to cry.

They ran down the hallway to their mommy and daddy.

Sammy’s mommy asked, “What’s wrong Sammy?”

Sammy wiped their tears and said, “All my friends are either a boy or a girl but I feel like I am both. I also like both.”

Sammy’s mommy and daddy smiled and said... “That’s wonderful, Sammy! There’s nothing to be ashamed about.”

Sammy smiled too, “Thank you.”

Suddenly, the hearts on Sammy’s head and tummy turned into a beautiful rainbow!

This made them very happy! This made Sammy’s parents happy too!

Sammy’s parents gave them a big hug and said “We will love you no matter what.”

Sammy is different from the others, and that’s ok! Sammy is proud of who they are! The End
