Check every label of your purchases for Pesach marking: • GOLDEN TASTE SUGAR FREE BEETS & HORSERADISH [The Grove] • SEASON SKINLESS & BONELESS SARDINES IN OLIVE OIL [The Grove] • PASKESZ REAL CHOCOLATE CHIPS [Kroger] NOAM frozen GOURMET GEFILTE FISH’s non-Pesach product states “Chometz - Not for use on Passover” on the top label, but mistakenly states Kosher for Pesach on the bottom label. Noam’s Pesach certified product states Kosher for Pesach on both labels. YARDEN frozen FAVA BEANS mistakenly states (in Hebrew) Kosher l’Pesach “l’lo chashash kitniyos”. This product is kitniyos, and should say “l’ochlei kitniyos” (only for those who eat kitniyos on Pesach). VISCOFAN VEGETARIAN CASINGS made in the US for the meat industry are not currently OU certified for Pesach, and may contain kitniyos. SYSCO CANOLA SALAD OIL mistakenly bears an OU-P on some cases. It is certified only for year round use. The individual containers correctly bear OU Pareve. SUN-MAID VANILLA YOGURT COVERED RAISINS, in 5 oz. bags with 10 x .5 oz boxes per bag, mistakenly bears OK-P on the inside boxes. The outside bag correctly bears OK-D, and is certified Kosher Dairy. WEGMANS SEA SALT & PEPPER PISTACHIOS mistakenly bears a P next to the OK symbol on some labels. This product is not certified for Pesach. TOPS CHICKEN and BEEF ART. FLAVORED INSTANT BOUILLON and BOUILLON CUBES mistakenly bear an OK-P symbol. These products are certified Kosher Pareve, but not for Pesach. THE FOLLOWING OU-P PRODUCTS HAVE BEEN RECALLED DUE TO INFESTATION: • JASON GLUTEN FREE PLAIN PANKO CRUMBS with BB dates of DEC 20 2023 and AUG 04 2024 • LANDAU GLUTEN FREE PLAIN PANKO CRUMBS with lot codes 2241 through 2245 It is advisable to check cans with other dates/codes for signs of infestation in the product or for small holes at the bottom of the can. The OU PESACH GUIDE’S “YELLOW’ SECTION list, of products that do not require special Pesach marking, refers only to products bearing an OU symbol. Products not bearing an OU, even with the same brand names, are often produced by different manufacturers and may not be approved for Pesach.
