Hudson Fabregas, one of the team’s nine-year-old players, and Coach Chris Fabregas’ son, has dedicated lots of time and effort towards the sport of baseball, and he is very proud of his accomplishments. “The most fun event I’ve been a part of was The Federal Way Knights Tournament. We played really well, and everyone was cheering and having a great time. We beat a select 9U team to win the championship,” he says, referencing the tournament that many of the boys treasure as their favorite. “We had a very good season!” Says Ollie Barsness, another core team member. Deducted from this as well as many of the statements they continue to make, the baseball team isn’t just a sports team. These boys support each other in their ups and downs. Whether they hit a home run or don’t play as well as they hoped, every boy has a role on the team and is essential to the success of the group. They are a community. A family. Newcastle!
