CELEBRATE A NEW CAREER IN 14 MONTHS WANTED: BY 2025, THE NATIONAL DEMAND FOR REGISTERED NURSES IS PROJECTED TO EXCEED 3.5 MILLION, ACCORDING TO THE US DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH AND HUMAN SERVICES. The national nurse shortage creates multiple opportunities for graduates of Indiana Wesleyan’s Transition to Nursing Program. An option for those who have earned a bachelor’s degree but are still looking for a stable career, this accelerated program offers a fast track to a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree. It’s a chance to write yourself a new life story in just 14 months. PROGRAM PICKS UP THE PACE To make this transition possible, IWU concentrated the traditional four-year baccalaureate model. Both programs include equivalent classroom, clinical, and lab hours, which provide ample opportunities for students to become proficient in their nursing knowledge and skills. Because the Transition to Nursing program is considered full-time and is an intense 14-month experience, students are advised not to hold full- or part-time jobs.
