It was found that the majority of 26 per cent of the tappers have expressed satisfied and moderate of the Training programmes. 20 per cent of the tappers are feel Training programme is very poor, and remaining 19 per cent of have expressed excellent and poor of the Training programmes. Government support to the tappers Among the Government measures to uplift the NR rural tappers enjoy the Merit Award, Educational stipend, Group insurance, Medical attendance, Housing subsidy, and Housing subsidy to SC/ST tappers in the unorganised sector. The Rubber act 1947, provides amongst other functions shall be the duty of the board to secure better working conditions and the provisions and improvement of amenities and incentives for rubber tappers.
