Distributor Monthly Stock & Sales Report (DMSSR) and Inventory Management The DMSSR or monthly stock and sales report is a tool to regulate and monitor inventory and observe SKU wise movement of Sales. A typical DMSSR is depicted below. This in turn gives us an idea of which SKUs are over stocked and which SKUs need to be ordered. The DMSSR is used as an input for order generation as well as for clearing old and slow-moving items. This is probably the most important tool to ensure Hygiene at the Distributor point. The DMSSR also gives us details about stock which have returned from the market as damaged/expired or returned by the retailers.
