A combination of 080 aluminum sheeting, channel letters and led tubing helped give this sign dimension while still including all elements of the logo.

First Place Illuminated Signage & Sign Systems Prairie Signs, Inc. Designer: Prairie Signs, Inc. Weber Electric, Inc. The vision was to create a sign that felt ELECTRIC and represented the client's business and image. Both during the day and night. This is a custom Channel cabinet with Push Thru acrylic faces that are internally LED lit. The cabinet has an additional yellow Channel border that face lights. Finally, the side accent Lightning Bolts are Channel cabinet Logos that are face lit with LED.
Second Place Illuminated Signage & Sign Systems Nesper Sign Advertising Designer: Hannah Rausch Friendship Village Retirement Community After building a brand new facility to add to their campus, Friendship Village Retirement Community was in need of a Monument Sign with directional information. City code prohibited 100% illumination of sign faces, making a routed face the obvious first choice. A steel trellis was erected to mimic the entrance of the new facility, while the pole covers were wrapped in a digital print of the building's stone.

Designer: Ace Design Team IL Route 66 Scenic Byway These sculptural cars are modelled after iconic cars of the ages like the VW Bus and Classic Dodge Coronet. They are fabricated entirely of steel tubing allowing guest to set inside for selfies along the 66 Rest stop, or to enjoy the views of the 66 Drive-in. These unique cars are part the The Route 66 Experience at the Illinois State Fairgrounds, an immersive exhibit that takes visitors back in time to relive the journey and experience the legends of the mother road.

Designer: Ace Design Team IL Route 66 Scenic Byway The Legends Neon Park features replicas of long lost iconic signs that once stood in towns across Illinois. Crafted with Authentic Glass Neon and LED Edison bulbs the park adds a glow and ambiance to the fairgrounds, year around. The signs are built as scaled replicas to the originals, each igniting stories and memories for locals and travelers.
Third Place Old School Signage Sangamon County Ace Sign Co. Designer: Ace Design Team A stunning combination of fabricated metal, hand-crafted glass neon, modern digital display technology, shimmering sequins, classic lattice, and amber colored bulbs all together on the most famous road in the world. This new sign is 24' across sets outside of Gate 2 at the Illinois State Fair on old Route 66. The mash up design is a nod to the vintage vibes of the mother road, while promoting the many year around events at the fairgrounds.
First Place Restored/Rehabilitated Existing Sign Van Bruggen Sign, Inc Designer: Brad Werkman / Don Stonis Anthem Church Church building was updated using wood siding material which inspired the monument sign update. Existing double sided sign cabinet was updated with new ACM backer panel with wood siding material to match building. Logo and letters are 1/4" plate aluminum painted black.
