BREAKFAST & WORKSHOP TOUR HBRA members and guests enjoyed breakfast, prepared by JM Wright Tech hospitality and culinary students, while learning about the trades program offered at the school. Dr. Phyllis Bartoli, principal of JM Wright, gave a presentation about the benefits of the school and how the students are training to be members of our industry’s workforce. After breakfast, members were given a full tour of each of the workshops in the construction trades. The state-of-the-art facilities give students the opportunity to learn and work with the latest in carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and facilities management technology and tools. These students are certified to work in their Junior and Senior year for businesses in the area. We are pleased to announce that with funds raised last year, the HBRA presented 4 seniors with a $250 scholarship to use upon graduation. Several HBRA members have hired students from the school and we look forward to continuing this partnership moving forward. Sponsored By: JUNE 2018 | HBRA of Fairfield County 9
