Build an Animal House Enter the house in the HBA Professional Women in Building 2019 raffle with proceeds to benefit the HBA PWB Scholarship program. Animal Houses will be on display at the 2019 Spring Home Show on Feb 22, 23 & 24th at Gateway Classic Cars in O’Fallon. DESIGN GUIDELINES AND REQUIREMENTS Size: Exterior Max: 5’ H x 4’ W x 5’ L Any size at or below the maximum size range will be deemed acceptable and must fit within a standard truck bed. Please note that an interior house should be designed to fit through a standard 3’ door. Weight: Must not need the assistance of a forklift. Take into consideration that each team is responsible for transportation and placing of their doghouse. Also, consider the feasibility of relocation by the winner. CONSTRUCTION REQUIREMENTS All houses should be constructed to be functional and durable for indoor or outdoor use, using materials to withstand the elements, transportation and reasonable wear and tear. All structures must be completed without exposed nails or other materials that will be harmful to humans or animals. The structures will be on public display at 2019 Home Show. As such, the houses are likely to be touched by thousands of visitors. Please make sure all design elements are firmly attached, avoid sharp edges or corners and use of unfinished materials. FINAL SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS All teams will receive the final design form to complete and return to hba@hbaswil.org, no later than December 31, 2018. The final design form will request high resolution photos of the project from beginning to end. DELIVERY Teams will deliver their house to the 2019 Home Show no later than Friday, February 22nd , 2019.
