LOOK FOR THE HBR LOGO What is the Home Builders and Remodelers Metro East Association? • We are a not-for-profit organization that promotes, educates and advocates for the Residential Building & Remodeling Industry. We provide resources to industry professionals and to consumers within the Metro East. • We are the only organization of its kind that constantly works to assist its members by providing vital industry information, educational opportunities, advocacy and support and networking events all to enhance our members business. • HBR Metro East Association is a proud member of the Home Builders Association of Illinois (HBAI) and the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) Our Members… • Have taken an educated stance to be a part of a professional trade organization to enhance their business and stay on top of regulatory developments and industry trends Their focus is not only on their bottom line but on improving the industry as a whole. • When a business becomes a member with the local HBR they also become members of the Home Builders Association of Illinois (HBAI) and National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) as well. This gives the member the advantage of having access to a wide range of tools, resources and information that is valuable in keeping their business current in the housing industry. Local Consumers… • HBR is also consumer focused, they use their role as a community leader to inform and educate the public in consumer protection, housing trends, life safety issues, new and innovative products and money-saving tips. These services are provided to consumers in a variety of ways; Home Show, Dream Home videos, various media (tv, radio, print and Facebook), Resource Guide and their very informative website www.hbrmea.org. • When buying or building a house it is suggested that the buyer ask the builder, contractors and suppliers that are involved if they are a HBR member. That way you’ll be reassured to know you are dealing with a professional that has made an educated commitment.. Giving Back to our Communities… • During the 2019 Home Shows the HBR collected over 1000 pounds of canned goods and personal hygiene items that were donated to the O’Fallon Community Food Pantry and the Violence Prevention Center. • The Professional Women in Building Council gave scholarships ranging from $500 - $1,000 to young women furthering their education in the building industry, donations were made to Big Brothers Big Sisters of Southwest Illinois, Collinsville Food Pantry & Happy Hooves Equine Rescue.
