What is the Home Builders & Remodelers Metro East Association? • We are a not-for-profit organization made up of members that have taken an educated stand to be part of a professional trade organization to enhance their business in a positive path. • We recently changed our name from Home Builders Association (HBA) to Home Builders & Remodelers to recognized the renovation segment of our industry that is very important and strong in the Metro East. A Home Builder & Remodelers Metro East Association (HB&R) member demonstrates their commitment to the goals of the housing industry in this market. HB&R is the only organization of its kind that is always working to assist their members with current information, education and support that will benefit the members business. HB&R is also consumer focused, they use their role as a community leader to inform and educate the public in consumer protection, housing trends, life safety issues, new and innovative products and money-saving tips. These services are provided to consumers in a variety of ways; Home Show, Dream Home videos, various media (tv, radio, print and facebook), Resource Guide and their very informative website www.hbrmea.org. The HB&R and its members actively support local community organizations. During the 2018 Home Shows the Community Interfaith Food Pantry and Faith Baptist Church Food Pantry received over 1000 pounds of can goods and the donations were collected for the Violence Prevention Center which helped many families in need of simple daily supplies. The Professional Women in Building Council gave scholarships ranging from $500 - $1,000 to young women furthering their education in the building industry, donations were made to Big Brothers Big Sisters of Southwest Illinois, Collinsville Food Pantry & Happy Hooves Equine Rescue. When a business becomes a member with the local HB&R they also become members of the Home Builders Association of Illinois (HBAI) and National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) as well.
