You may have heard this popular rope jumping rhyme before, but did you know that the Borden’s maid, Bridget “Maggie” Sullivan made her home in Montana not long after serving as a key witness in the murder trial? It was a hot August morning in 1892 when the Borden’s would face a gruesome death in their home in Fall River, Massachusetts. For Bridget, the Borden’s Irish housekeeper, the morning had started like countless others. Bridget rose early to prepare breakfast for the family.
