July 28, 1884, Mr. Bailey was married to Miss Emma M. White, a native of Montana, born near Three Forks, November 27, 1868. Her parents, William and Mary J. White were among the pioneers in the early days of Virginia City, but now reside near Bozeman. Mrs. Emma White Bailey has filled the position of deputy clerk of the district court of Park county during her husband’s term of office. Besides this she takes pleasure in being an active member in different secret and social societies, is receiver in the Degree of Honor, mistress of arms in the Maccabees, orator in the United Moderns, member of the Relief Corps, member of the Episcopal church, and secretary of the Ladies’ Guild.
