TIES IN COMPETITION ––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––– Ties in competition shall be decided by count back as d or by play off as the Match Committee may from tim decide. 1. Stroke Play (a) Scratch events which end in a tie will be dec count back in the following manner. (i) For 18 hole events, the best score for t holes will be used. If there is still a tie t holes or if still tied, the last 3 holes. If a ti sists then hole by hole from the 18th. (ii) In 27, 36, 54 and 72 hole events the last shall be used and if still tied count back a (iii) In handicap events the relevant handica tion thereof shall be applied. (iv) Where a penalty applicable under Rule 3 Rules of Golf is applied in a result, this pen be ignored so far as the countback is con (b) Par or Stableford Events - As in stroke events the Par or Stableford score. (c) Ties for Monthly Medals, Junior Medals, Yearl Wednesday and Sunday Medals except th Strange Trophy shall be decided by a count b (d) Championships and Open Scratch Events Championships and Open Scratch Events, tie decided by a sudden death play off using Hole (e) In aggregate competitions using selected rou shall be decided by play-off over 18 holes. H for play-off shall be the last handicap player the event. 2. Match Play (a) Scratch Events - in all match play events when is all square at the end of 18 holes it shall be by a sudden death play-off. Players shall proceed to the hole at which t started.
