WE WILL TAKE REQUESTS LIKE THIS ALL THROUGHOUT THE SCHOOL YEAR AND DO EVERYTHING IN OUR POWER TO MAKE SURE THE TEACHERS HAVE WHAT THEY WANT AND NEED TO MAKE IT THE BEST YEAR EVER! MEET YOUR FARLEY PTSA EXECUTIVE BOARD FOR 2019/2020 President Elizabeth Castillo - Hello, my name is Elizabeth Castillo and I moved to Hutto in 2006. I have a son, who will be entering into the 7th grade. I served as the Secretary for the FMS-PTSA in 201819. It is my goal to see Farley be number one in the Hutto community and to help and implement fun filled and educational activities our children will remember and cherish as “middle school memories”. I will be advocating for our school to be a “School of Excellence” and pursue open communications with students, families, administrators and parents. It is my desire that our students, parents, and teachers will become active in the PTSA and experience an exciting year! We are… “Hippo Nation” Vice President, Program & Events Jaclyn Alcoser - Hi! My name is Jaclyn Alcoser. My daughter is an 8th grader at Farley. I volunteered for events at school last year and this year is my first year on a PTSA board. I hope to make this year positive and memorable for parents and students. I look forward to another great year at Farley! Vice President, Membership Karmon Hill - Greetings, FMS Hippos! My name is Karmon Hill, and I am your 2019-20 Vice President, Membership. As a PTSA Board member, my goal is to support FMS's teachers, students, administration, and programs. As your VP of Membership, I want to connect with you so you feel engaged, empowered, and informed. Our charge is to make Farley a premier campus for excellence in education. Are you ready? Join PTSA today! Secretary Christina Garza - My name is Christina Garza and I am the Secretary of the PTSA. You can usually find me bouncing around all our school events with smile. I am usually described as peppy and approachable. Although I tend to be running a little late, I make up the time by staying organized and completing tasks like a small whirlwind. Talkative, caring, and open to suggestions, means I want to be a point of contact for all parents, teachers, students, and staff. Don’t hesitate to strike up a conversation with this stay at home mom. Treasurer Alison Barajas - I have lived in Hutto since 2007, my son has attended HISD schools since Kindergarten, and we have 2 dogs. In my professional life I am an Administrative Assistant, I have a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from Texas State University, and enjoy reading and traveling. Parliamentarian Elizabeth Howell - My name is Elizabeth Howell and I will be serving as the Parliamentarian for the 20192020 school year. I’m happily married with 6 kiddos. I have one in college, one in High School, one in Middle, one in Elementary and 2 toddlers. I’m also the Farley campus representative, for The Special Education Parent Advisory Council. I’m looking forward to a great school year! Historian Andrea Velasquez - Hi, my name is Andrea Velasquez; I have lived in Hutto since 2006 and quickly fell in love with it. I have an 11 year old who will be starting 6th grade and an 8 month old who we are teaching the Hippo way. I have served and volunteered with the Ray and Howard Norman PTA’s for the past several years and I look forward to working with all of the Farley Families to make this a great year! MEET PRINCAPAL MARK WILLOUGHBY Mr. Willoughby joined Hutto ISD in the fall of 2018 as the Hutto High School Assistant principal and then moved on to take on the Principal position at Farley Middle that Sept. A native of Killeen, Willoughby is a 1991 graduate of Howard Payne University, where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Education and English. Prior to joining Hutto ISD, Willoughby served as an assistant principal at Bastrop High School for five years and as an assistant principal at both Bastrop Intermediate and Bastrop Middle School. He also served as the District Coordinator of Athletics and Student Services for Bastrop ISD. In addition, Willoughby has 16 years’ experience as a head baseball coach and English teacher. Willoughby has been married for 26 years to Nicole, who is counselor at Mina Elementary in Bastrop ISD. The Couple has two childrendaughter Alicia, a junior at the University of Texas, and son Mark Edward, Jr., who will be a freshman at Howard Payne University. “It is an honor to be a part of the FMS Family and the Principal of this outstanding campus! I look forward to meeting and working with you throughout the year so we can inspire excellence in academics, character, and community!
