Cobourg Museum Foundation Celebrates 25th Anniversary The Cobourg Museum Foundation celebrates its 25th Anniversary this summer with special events during the Museum’s May to October season. Everyone is invited to join in the celebrations including Opening Day, May 18, and Volunteers Day, June 15. There will also be musical events, speakers and even an Anniversary Tea Party (consult www.cobourgmuseum.ca/events ). The Museum itself, which opened to the public in 2012, is sporting a new name and logo as the Foundation moves into its next 25 years. Located just a short walk from Victoria Hall, the Museum includes the Sifton-Cook Exhibit Hall and an 1870s workman’s cottage. Featured exhibit this year is “Our Stories - Our Community”, ten stories of immigration to Northumberland County. An outdoor model railway and an indoor layout hark back to the days when Cobourg was a transportation hub shipping lumber and iron ore to the lucrative American market. Volunteer guides and summer students look forward to welcoming you! 20
